RMweb Gold Popular Post NHY 581 Posted August 6, 2019 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted August 6, 2019 (edited) Well, I am pleased to report the addition of a second small canine to the Lambston project. I am hoping to commence construction in September with a completion date of January. To speed things up ( and this may indicate a spot of planning for once..) I plan ( there's that word again) to use Bleat Wharf ' s lighting fascia thingy and the fiddly yard....not sure what the world is coming to but there we have it. To summarise then; A small branch line terminus. Single platform and bay. Engine shed. Minimal goods facilities but scope for cattle dock, domestic coal as well as general merchandise.... Small locos, single coaches and hopefully no small degree of character in a 4ft x 16 inch cameo setting. C'est Bon. Rob. Never even entered my woolly head that something like this would ever come my way. All the other layouts present were of a very high standard indeed. I had no idea such a presentation was made at the show so it came totally out of the blue. Congratulations and no more than you deserve. Your amazing modelling has inspired so many around here, myself firmly included, and I look on what you do with awe! No doubt the layouts look even better in real life, as confirmed by your award. I just look forward to the day when I get to see your work in the flesh! Keep up the good work! 1

You will get laughed at using an umbrella on Portland in the deep south - too windy. As the rain is often horizontal an umbrella will be of little use even if it isn't inside out! Welcome to the chaos and congratulations on your marathon! ! Yes, the Terriers are Sheep friendly. The latest addition has been run in. Not as smooth as the early crest example but seems to have settled down. Here's an image taken at Bleat Wharf. Rob.

That's very, very pretty. I do like that. But wouldn't the nice little doggies prefer to have a nice dark blue or green coat with the legend 'Ramsbottom Valley Light Railway' on them?
