I can see this thread  single handedly creating a spike in prices on eBay for diesel shunters.

1978 issue Lima 08 for £90 upwards perhaps? They must be pretty rare by now.

Also didn't Replica Railways use green boxes at one time?

Keep us guessing Rob!

Forgot about they... my only Replica purchase came in a flatish white cardboard box, akin to the ones I used to put quiches in during my time as a masterbat... baker.

Yes please I've a couple of them tucked away, for no apparent reason.

That could fund another pannier!

Keep up the good work Rob, I'll think about what you can talk up next.

That's a wonderfully atmospheric shot Rob, such a believable scene and that's some of the best old style concrete I've ever seen modelled. It's got that proper WWII airfield look about it.

If it helps, the bus is also a Bristol, run by Bristol bus.

The route no longer exists.  The no 203 became the no 13, then the no 3.  Now if you want to get to Foxhill (where I does abide) from the centre you need a no 4a, although you can get a no 4 if you like walking the mile to Foxhill on the flat.  Foxhill is in the Bath Highlands so either a no 4 or 4a is preferable to walking.  Of course, you could get the no 2  (that used to be the no 1 to Foxhill Hutments ex MoD site now moved to Abbey Wood in Brizzle), if you like.  That goes to Mulberry Park on the other side of Fox Hill (not to be confused with Foxhill, which is on the opposite side of Fox Hill),  that's a 5 minute walk for me, whereas the no 4a is directly opposite the house (give or take a few °).

Of course this is all academic, as no buses run on time, and within the last fortnight I have wasted over 3 hours of my life waiting for buses that appear as 'due' on the bus stop displays but are in reality non existent.  Of course I could have tried the no 2 but that doesn't stop outside work (like the no's 4 & 4a) or the house.

Good night :good:

It might have been a bus like that that used to run down to Sand Bay never actually caught one.

Don't.

I've seen people crossing the road trying to catch buses,it never ends well, they're very heavy.

This dog was hated all traffic and would try to have a go at a bus if I let him. He and Lockie did mnage to corner a Landrover on Exmoor we came round a bend in the track to find the landrover sopped with one either end.
