I am happy yo help my "friends" operate their layouts. I don't think Mike Fraser can be mentioned as an example as he has never had his own layout!

Lets not forget Nobby had to be replaced and I was the man to fill his shoes!

Cheers.

Mr Wade

I can say your statement is incorrect. I had the pleasure of seeing my mate Mike's layout he was building in his loft when he lived in Essex, with its Airfix Multiple Train Controller (MTC) system. I have also been party to photographs of the new layout he is building in Greece.

That doesn't count as it was a fixed layout.

Cheers.

The layout did well at the GCR, just a few faults that were all fixed during the show. A very big show with lots to see, plus full size trains too.

Photo of some of the team late on Sunday before packing up.

Next show is Fareham on 6th & 7th October.

Cheers.

Hi Paul

It was good to see the layout working well on Saturday and you doing your bit for care in the community, I think Anne owes you big time for looking after Mike so well.

Clive,

Anne had a big accident just before leaving the Greek Island, I think she would have liked Mike to have stayed at home.

Cheers.

I am busy getting ready for this year's Lydd Rail open weekend, no TWY this year. Today I fitted some new signs on the walls. The Bolden Junction boards will be removed tommorrow and return to Ashford where Alistair has fitted out his garage to store it.

Below the signs covering where I worked for BR, except Tonbridge which was always in the area of my post.

Below, half of the studio is named Fred Johnson and now numbered platform 2.

Never seen Tonbridge yard in model form or in real life!!!

I am in the process of building a small engineers ballast layout in my bedroom. How did you get the ZCA "Sea Urchins" BTW? Cambrian offer a ZCA but it's an OBA conversion. I done a lot of headscratching on how to make the VCA/VDA van conversions :scratchhead: .

Anyway, keep up the good work, Paul. Been hearing about you (and your many models) from Rail Express Modeller! :good:

Hi Paul

The mobile home on the ranch is slowly going green. Mrs M keeps mentioning that "I" should get the pressure hose out and give it a clean. :O  :O  And no I am not allowed to paint it crimson lake with full Midland Railway lining. :nono: :nono:

Hi Jules,

The ZCA's pictured are Resin, Whitemetal and Etched Brass kits from S-Kits

Hope This Helps.

As Mike said they were SKits they do versions with different brake levers and ends. Very nice but the painting (by hand) was a long task.

Cheers.

I am so sorry Paul, that you are now having to live in a mobile home. I guess you had to move out to fit the layouts in? But decoration can be an absolute game-changer.

By the way, were your days in BR at the time of Alex Green as AM Tonbridge?
