45669
Morning All, In 1997 the Swiss railways celebrated 150 years since the opening of the first railway in Switzerland. There were a number of special trains and other events, and I went over to see the SNCF 141R1244 working a train over the Gotthard. It was a weekend event with the train going south on the Saturday and then returning north on the Sunday. I have now put some pictures on Flickr and if anyone would like to see them this is the first one in the Photostream : R8345. 141R1244 at Airolo. 7th September, 1997. by Ron Fisher, on Flickr Alternatively, they can be seen in this Album : https://www.flickr.com/photos/train-pix/sets/72157650512038722 Hope that they are of interest.
