With the permission of the organisers I would like to post some information about this event.

The "Allestree Trains Day" takes place this Saturday, 14th February, at Allestree Church Hall, not far from the Markeaton pub. This long running event is now organised by the Famous Trains group but continues to raise money for the church.

The show is a small, friendly event and always features a good selection of vintage layouts and very good value catering.

This year's event includes up to 10 layouts, trade support, a demonstration by David Wright and Colin Wright's paintings including his new Patriot painting and his reworked Friargate bridge.

The show runs from 10.30 - 4.30. Entry is £1.50 adults and £1.00 for concessions.

I thought I recognised you from your picture on here

I was showing the " shunt your own" micro in the main hall .

I agree , today's show was fantastic and great to see it so busy.

Hopefully I will be invited to exhibit again next year.

Was that the 00 gauge one? I saw quite a few people using that one.
