Photogreycat
While I have several N gauge models from Bachmann Graham Farish the class 108 diesel multiple unit has failed to be reliable due to the track pickup relying on strips of copper which become fatigued. I have urged Bachmann to provide a better engineering solution. The recent introduction of Brighton Bell diesel multiple units in N gauge from Hornby manufactured by Arnold who are renowned for the engineering quality may encourage British manufactures to improve their products. RMweb Gold tetsudofan Posted March 22, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 22, 2015 You've posted in the wrong thread - this is for Bachmann OO stuff - N stuff should be in the Farish thread......
Les1952
Having bought a new Bachmann 64xx I would say that some of this poor engineering has found its way into Bachmann's OO range also. The DCC interface is similar to the N-gauge one and is poorly engineered and far too fragile for the job it has to do. RMWebbers are quick to throw bricks at Hornby, but both of my new Hornby locos are better featured and better engineered, and, size-for-size, cheaper. woodenhead
There was a Dapol thread, very similar content over the weekend. There is no big issue with Farish models.
