What ever happened to Andrew Emery founder of the Col Stephens Society

30 years ago almost to the day Andrew Emery of Tynemouth began to set up the Colonel Stephens Society with Jon Clarke and Steve Hannington as active early members.  However after a couple of years Andrew retired to the backbenches of the Society and soon left, pursuing his other interest the Highland Railway and reputedly moved to Scotland.  He was a retired policeman.  Some of the other early members are still on the Society committee, though Steve has left the Society, though still in touch with members, but Jon is still a member.  However Andrew has disappeared off the radar and I wondered if we could persuade him to contact myself as editor of the Society Journal with some  memories of the early days of the Society.  We wondered if anyone knew him or [what happened to him as perhaps he is no longer with us] and could past the message on or perhaps he is on this forum anyway?

regards,

Albyn Austin,

Hon Editor of The Colonel, the journal of the Colonel Stephens Society.
