EddieB
Up and running, Friday 24th - Sunday 26th April. Four locos in steam - J72 68023, N2 1744 and 51xx 4141 working passenger trains (top and tailed to Coopersale) and Y7 985 on "goods" (i.e. one "Dogfish" hopper and a "Shark" brake van, offering rides in the latter). J72 and Y7 are facing towards Ongar, the N2 and 51xx towards Epping. bike2steam
As one who regularly used Ongar station in the late 50's, and early/mid 60's, I be interested to see it being used now, pity I cant make it this weekend - one day!!
Bomag
Up and running, Friday 24th - Sunday 26th April. Four locos in steam - J72 68023, N7 1744 and 51xx 4141 Not only have they managed to retube and recertify the N7s boiler in a fortnight they have renumbered it and painted it to masquerade as a GN loco. Otherwise they have borrowed the N2 instead of the N7. Now if they only paint it a nice shade of blue before sending it back!
EddieB
Wishful thinking? I do know the difference, probably trying to write a post in a rush and getting caught between my N2s and Y7s.

bike2steam
An exGWR loco in Ongar, fifty plus odd years ago I wouldn't even of dreamt it, it meant an underground train ride from Ongar ( change at Epping) and all the way to North Acton.
Gunnbrikt
Looked like a good day, would have gone but went to the Diesal Gala the weekend before instead which was another great day. Would recommend a visit wholeheartedly, will definitely be go back again sometime soon for a steam day. Was well organised, we'll run and didn't feel past it's prime or worn down (unlike another heritage line I went to a couple of weekend before, not going to name names though).
