Please comment thoughts and ways in I can focus and improve, and make this blog motivated re interesting for everyone. This layout has been a very big project for myself and would love to hear what people think of the layout and get some inspiration. It hasn’t been easy modelling a real location for sure!!! chriscleveland Posted June 19, 2019 Author Share Posted June 19, 2019 Thanks Ian I am hoping to find that soon on when it can go up again but had a 2 week slot in September I believe but will let you know when else it goes up as I know frank was going to give me a slot sooner as for photos of lion that can be done. Thank you for doing lion for me gives me something to aim towards in the future!! On loco detailing etc! Do you still fancy doing the 37? 37324 clydebridge at some point? I thought I would try a new idea of trying to capture what happens in preservation with loco restorations etc. Hopefully have captured this look even with the restoration sheds too. Here we have a photo of the loco yard. I hate to say this but the fencing in the bottom right corner of the photo was changed on the original some time ago. The photos show before and after with hedging now added and other details. I am also in the process of making up some bits of clutter to go on the line of the headshunt so when trains are moved out you will see bits of locos, ladders, and other parts tucked under the locos. Signals are one of the last parts to go in as we are still deciding weather or not to have them working or not. One of the boards will need special protection for the signals on the alresford end of the layout. Ground disks are already on the layout though for the yard. The coaling digger has has finally been made and completes the coaling area nicely. I am happy with how it has come out as it wasn’t easy to make. chriscleveland Posted July 2, 2019 Author Share Posted July 2, 2019 (edited) After a few months out of modelling due to a serious illness I finally have done some rather than just posting what I did before hand. a job that needed doing was ensuring safe transport for the loco stock to exhibitions. I started this a long time ago and never finished. Some photos to show them packed in the new boxes. The next stock box will be that for coaches and wagons.
