The boards are being rotated until the layout goes up.

some photos of the boiler shop with its new floor colour and a shot within the carriage shed showing a Bulleid coach under restoration. I will be doing some work around 30499 which is based outside the shed to bring more detail to this area.

Looks great, really like the shed roads, your cinders and general filth between the tracks looks very effective. What did you use?

Cheers,

John

I have used a few different types of coverings even spraying some to achieve this look

Another restoration project complete j94 Douglas. As you can see it has been stripped down with a exposed boiler showing. with the cab roof missing it must mean the boiler will be ready to be craned off soon. This has been a fun build being completely scratch built!!

Just needs numbering and that’s another loco done. Currently 30828 is next for work to be done. All locos now are also receiving front and back couplings too.

Very impressive! What do you use as a base for your non-running locos? I recognise a couple as Airfix/Dapol kits, but what about things like the S15?

The non running locos are a mixture of different bits. Some are ready to run models some are kits just mocked up to restoration jobs, and some are Dapol kits, some are also completely made from plasticard

The next project is underway. After many years I have finally gotten round to sorting road bridge end of the layout. I have finally gotten round to installing the new bridge replacing the temporary one which seemed to be becoming more of a permanent fixture. I think it looks so much better. Now it’s time to blend it into its surroundings.
