Its less than £135 so I wouldn't be charged anything as far as I know, although maybe that only applies to EU purchases (?)

Signalling question.
simon b replied to simon b's topic in Permanent Way, Signalling & Infrastructure
Quite right, which leads me on to another question. How many levers in the ground frame, 2 or 3? I assume a release lever of some sort, then a lever to throw the points, but would the trap point be on the same lever or separate? -
Well it was wait the 4 year wait, today my ASM set lf Nord Ostsee Bahn married coaches have arrived , excellent models I will put some more photos on later when fully unboxed, for the moment I have a Roco Siemens NOB loco for them but I do have a former NSB disspolok coco on order for release hopefully this year

Last week's Sleaford wagon move mystery
TravisM replied to stivesnick's topic in UK Prototype Questions
As JRA wagons are being used on the Acton - Peterborough HS2 spoil trains, they could be cripples sent up from Peterborough as there's no real room for them there to be repaired. As the spoil train is contracted to DB Cargo and most of Peterborough Westwood yard is operated by GBRf, there might not be any siding space. Also, as they are leased from Touax, they might want them repaired there? As to why one has been moved, who knows and as Network Rail stable their track machines there, they might have moved it? -

Saturn 4 ultra - I just bought one
monkeysarefun replied to monkeysarefun's topic in 3D Printing, Laser Cutting, CAD & CNC
June is the date here too, although when I ordered my Saturn 3 Ultra in the pre-sale last year the shipping was estimated to be two months time but I got an email saying it was on its way about 2 weeks after I put the order in so who knows? (When checking that I saw that I paid US$499US for the Saturn 3 Ultra, compared to US$399 for the Saturn 4....) -

But would enough folk buy full rakes to justify them ? Personally doubt it, but welcome other thoughts. -

Any 8ohm speaker will suit TTS. I have never used the supplied speakers with any TTS I have fitted. One uses a Zimo dumbo one. The improvement in sound quality over the supplied one is marked. Bob

Finally, after three versions of the Dia 1/800 (Dublo, Parkside and Hornby) we get the 1/801. Was just thinking about this version the other day when I found my almost complete Parkside kit. -
I think one of the bits of knowledge we had to retain for 0 level woodwork theory was about elm and how it was used for docks and buildings that got wet and dried out as it was rot resistant .

Good to have them break cover. Some photos of a few prototypes 957011 https://PaulBartlett.zenfolio.com/brfish/e97932d2 BR 1/801 Barrier Van – No.M87990 957012 https://PaulBartlett.zenfolio.com/brfish/e74f676f BR 1/801 Barrier Van – No.W87573 957013 https://PaulBartlett.zenfolio.com/brfish/eb8c41f5 BR 1/801 Departmental Van – No.ADB975377 Paul PS just noticed this in the description (coded NRV and later SPV under TOPS) This is incorrect, the SPV designation predates the introduction of TOPS codes, for example on this 1970 photo by my late friend Tony Dyer https://PaulBartlett.zenfolio.com/brfish/e3e013bfa (I realise this is the earlier design on an LNER type brake rigging and slightly different body) -

Colas 56090 rumbles towards Brighouse on 19th April 2024 with 6E44, Colas Ribble Rail at Preston to Haverton, discharged bitumen tanks. Rather nice to see (and hear) as this working has been in the hands of Colas class 70s (including the hired-in Freightliner 70) for awhile. -

Hi Kieth, some time ago you asked if anyone had a track plan for Fowey based on a picture of the station you posted, as I have an interest in the station myself I bought copies of the track plans of the station from the national railway museum and here's a snip from one of those plans.· 0 replies
hope this helps,
Cheers
