Hi all,
Falkirk MRC's 28th Annual exhibition will be held in it's usual venue, Forth Valley College, Grangemouth Road, Falkirk FK2 9AD on Saturday and Sunday 28th & 29th November, 10:00 to 17:00 both days
Once again I'll be on the stage with my big G scale layout, if you're coming to the show pop by and say hello!

Trophies
This year we have two new trophies to add to our four existing trophies. The first of the new trophies is the David Lind Trophy for the best "N" gauge layout. The second is the Exhibitors' Prize for the best layout which will be chosen by layout operators.

Merseyside Model Railway Society Autumn Open Day
Sunday 29th November 2009 10am - 4pm in our clubrooms at the
Cavendish Business Centre, Brassey Street, Birkenhead, CH41 8BY
7 working layouts plus 1 under construction, our famous Club Shopwill be open so you can buy your models, modelling accessories, railway books and used magazines.
Hot and Cold Refreshments are available.
FREE Supervised Parking with Disable Access.
Layouts include: Broxton Junction (OO), Cwmbach-yn-Triardd (OO), Chester Street (O), Kirkfield (OO Finescale), Market Northrop (TT), Mauch Chunk PA (HO), Nettefield (N), and

0Shoeburyness Model Railway Club – 42nd Annual Model Railway Exhibition
Shoeburyness Model Railway Club are proud to present our 42nd Annual Model Railway Exhibition, taking place over the weekend of Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd August 2026.
The exhibition will once again be held at The Seaglass Centre, Thorpe Hall School, Wakering Road, Southend-on-Sea, Essex, SS1 3RD.
This friendly two-day show will feature a varied selection of layouts in a range of scales and gauges, supported by specialist traders, club stands and refreshments. Whether you are an experienced modeller, a railway enthusiast, a family looking for a day out, or someone new to the hobby, there will be plenty to see and enjoy.
Layouts currently listed include: Flatford Road Gasworks, DIBS Yard, Old Oxendale Sidings, Moos, Andrews Yard, Clayton West, Compton Heath, Shaftsbury Parkway, Lynneton Yard, Cherry Orchard Lane, Bembridge, Thorpe Green, Jacobsville, Websters Halt and Llanwyddyn.
Traders and societies currently listed include: Bunters Yard, B12 Steam Locomotive Society, Trainsporters, Roxley Models, Chaplin Diecast Models, Fenland Model Railways, Leigh Models & Hobbies, Plus Daughters, Round in Circles, Tierney Model Railway Shop, Wheels of Southsea and WM Collectables.

Weston-Super-Mare Model Railway Show 2026

Great mix of layouts and trade,
....but the floorplan created real bottlenecks around the entrance which was also the route between halls (via the changing rooms!) and so was already going to be busy anyway. But there were further trade stands and coffee stand put there.... creating groups of people lingering and blocking...... why oh why!
The catering van outside - ended up giving up because as we all stood queuing to buy food, nothing happening in the van, there was a lot of playing with kids and babies but the 4 people there couldn't manage to free up one to take orders.

SOUTHAMPTON MODEL RAILWAY SHOW -JANUARY 24TH/25TH 2026

Despite South West Trains' best efforts I managed to get to the exhibition on time. I had my doubts when they announced at Southampton Central Station that my train would be running non stop to Waterloo but I got on a Cross Country train that stopped at Southampton Airport. The pictures show:
1. My arrival at the exhibition on a heritage bus provided by the organisers.
2. There were a lot of people at the exhibition and a huge queue for the coffee machines. There seemed to be more people there than in previous years.
3. Essence of Ventnor in 0 gauge was one of the splendid layouts there. I saw it last year at the Brockenhurst exhibition.
4. Seaton Junction in 00 gauge was another interesting layout. There was an N gauge model of Seaton Junction at Pecorama that it donated to our model railway club so I found it interesting to see Seaton Junction in a larger scale.
I was not so lucky with my return journey as South West Trains was unable to run any trains from Southampton Central to Bournemouth and Weymouth so I ended up having to catch a taxi to Bournemouth.

WMRA Annual Exhibition

Excellent show. plenty of free parking, over 30 layouts, lots of traders and full catering. I liked the scenery on the illustrated 009 gauge Feorag layout set in an imaginary island west of Cornwall. TT:120 seems to be well received with two small oval layouts on display.
