The Seaford Model Railway Show is on Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th November 2011 at Newlands School, Eastbourne Road, Seaford, East Sussex. BN25 4NP.
The exhibition is open from 10am - 5pm Saturday and 10am - 4pm Sunday.
Admission is £ 3.50 for adults, £ 2.00 for children/OAPs and each admission gets a free guide.
There are about 15 layouts exhibiting including "Borchester Market" BR Great Northern/Great Central, "Thornbury Hill" OO Sothern Region, "Empingham" OO Rutland area 1950s, "Roundhouse" HO American by Ian Lampkin, "St. Paddy" Cornish 4mm by Brian Tamplin, "Olmsdale" OO Modern Image by Bob Cutbush, "Whickhambreux Road" 009 by David Marshall, plus lots more.
Traders include MB Models selling Bachmann & Hornby, Carriage & Wagon Models Southern Region stock sales, Roger Jones sales, Newhaven MRC club shop, Kent & East Sussex Railway Society, plus more. DMR kits are doing demonstrations plus sales.
The exhibition is held in a large Sports Hall at ground level so suitable for Disabled access and a 1st floor smaller hall which unfortuneatly doesn't have disabled access.
There is a Cafe serving hot drinks and home-made cakes & fancies made by Newhaven MRC members wives & partners. The cafe has a small seating area and is situated on 1st floor along from the upper exhibition hall.
This, our 3rd exhibition at Newlands School is building a reputation as a friendly & interesting exhibition and a southern alternative to the Warley Show.
