  • Rush Green colliery 00 gauge

    UKxGREENY

Rush Green Colliery is set in the NCB’s West Midlands Area between the 1960-80s. The layout aims to capture the very end of steam in Britain while also capturing a snapshot of colliery life towards the end of the 20th century. This layout is intended to give a good representation of the collieries that were once spread across Britain and aims to show the main features of an industry that has been virtually wiped from the modern landscape. The layout features live loading of wagons and a variety of industrial rolling stock as well as some visiting locomotives. The layout was constructed by Alex Rushton and Richard Green with help from members at the Coventry Model Railway Club.

Overall space at full length space required including operator/Storage space     4m x 1.5m he have the ability to run the with one fiddle yard if required which would reduce the length by around a meter.

     The layout is DC

Rush Green Colliery Model Railway at lutterworth on the 13th of may 2023

Lutterworth went well had some very positive comments the small animals I added went down well with the kids and adults. we had good feedback from a ex mine manager as well he did mention that if we could find space to have a mangers office that the manger almost always could see the head gear through the window.

By the way the layout features rabbits, dogs, seagull's, squirrel's, Foxes and a well hidden penguin 🐧
