Netherwood Sidings

Netherwood Sidings is a continuous run layout with fiddle yard at the back and scenic section at the front. It represents the Woodhead line in its last years. It features scale OLE and a fleet of class 76 electrics, as well as diesels that would be found on the line at that time (1977 - 1981). The layout is 10m long and 3.5m wide and needs a transit van for transport. It needs 4 operators. It was 'Railway of the Month' in Railway Modeller in January 2016, and was awarded the trophy for best visiting layout by members of Manchester MRS at the Manchester show in December 2019.
