Our award winning exhibition features around 30 layouts and well is supported with trade stands.  

One of the highlights this year is Aberdeen Kirkhill making a welcome return to Perth.

All the club layouts will be there in various stages of progress, and also some of our members' own layouts in 2mm, N, 00, 009 and 0 covering a number of eras, so about 10 in total and a trader too, more than you get at some exhibitions but with free entry!

Join us for the Saddleworth Charity Model Railway Exhibition in aid of Guide Dogs for the Blind May 2nd, 3rd and Bank Holiday Monday 4th 2026!

The exhibition is held in the Saddleworth Museum & Art Gallery upstairs in the gallery which is accessible via stairs and a lift. 

We have 7 layouts, a demo, 3 traders and light refreshments kindly provided by Friends of the Museum. We will once again be having 'Best in Show' voted for by all the visitors over the weekend. 

Entry is £5 (cash only) per adult and children are free with every paying adult, with all proceeds going to Guide Dogs. 

There will also be a raffle to win a Hornby Train Set, kindly donated by Sawyer Models of Leigh, with all proceeds going to Guide Dogs.

An industrial quay side where small industrial tank engines unload the wagons from the mainline engines and deliver to the warehouses. The layout has a working canal bridge, turn table and more!

Auswiss - DCC Sound

A 2010s busy station on the Austria/Switzerland boarder where mountain narrow gauge railway trains meet standard gauge trains to exchange passengers & goods.

O Gauge

New Millshaw - DCC Sound

BR Blue era diesels with sound shunt around the yard and ferry passengers to the station.

The venue is next to the gorgeous Hastings Museum which has a section dedicated to the railways of Hastings and free entry, so worth visiting there after the show.

Summerfields Leisure Centre is approximately 3/4 mile from Hastings Rail Station (up hill!)  but buses operate from both Hastings and St Leonards stations direct to the venue

There is some limited on-street parking immediately surrounding the leisure centre. We recommend if coming by car to park away from the venue and take a 10 minutes bus ride direct to the site entrance.  

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Stagecoach buses operate from Hastings and St Leonards stations direct to the venue. Connecting buses from Rye, Tenterden and Eastbourne are also in operation - please check timetables before you travel.  

PLEASE NOTE:
The exhibition is located on the lower ground floor of the venue, accessible via a short flight of stairs.
Full wheelchair access to the exhibition hall is available via a lift; venue staff will assist with this if required.
Regretfully, pets are not permitted in the venue with the exception of guide dogs. 
Most traders will accept card payments, but smaller trade stands/ pre-loved stands may be cash only. 
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Our one day shows around the South east usually get between 600/800 visitors a day and has we have expanded the floor space for Hastings we can offer extra trade stands.  We believe trade stands are as much an attraction at shows as layouts, so we try and keep our trade stand prices low.

Cradley Heath model railway club are giving our annual show a break this year, instead we are putting on this event. I t will feature exhibits from the club and its members, and its free entry!!  please come along and say allow!

The Milton Keynes MRS Exhibitiion will take place on Saturday 6th June 2026 at Walton High Brooklands Campus between 1000 and 1630. Please note this is a new venue for us.

Updates will be posted here in due course.

The show will take place in March, a month later than usual, due to a large conference occupying the SEC on our traditional weekend.

This change is for one year only, and we look forward to welcoming enthusiasts for a special anniversary edition of Scotland’s premier model railway exhibition.

On Saturday 25th April, Wild Swan Books is holding an “open house” at 4 Tollbridge Studios to celebrate the joys of model making and the art of locomotive building. We will have three leading locomotive builders joining us for the day:

Tom Mallard, ace locomotive builder whose “Finescale Locomotive Building” has just been published by Wild Swan.

Jerry Clifford, builder of "Queen Square" and all round 2mm scale maestro

Laurie Griffin, talented in all scales and the originator of the famous MRJ Manning Wardle.

It will be a day of conversation and shared enjoyment, come and see what our expert modellers are working on, quizz them on their techniques and discuss and share your own projects. Display space will be available for visiting models.
