Blog- Maurice's Blog - A Completed Loco!

Recommended Posts

Anyone with South Western tendencies (London and South Western Railway) will know that all new locos have to be photographed with a point lever in the foreground. Indeed I have a plan to make a small photographic diorama of the sidings at the back of Eastleigh works to photograph my S Scale LSWR locos when they are finished.

Anyway, here is Axe, as yet un-steamed by me in the finished livery. Perhaps tomorrow morning after the housework!

Axe has clearly been pulled into the scene by No.4... but the sharp-eyed will notice that it must have been pushed as there is no coupling chain.

No. 4 needs to spend a day in the works getting its paintwork patched up and to have the exhaust pipe fitted after 21 years of operating without one. The drinking straw probably needs to be replaced with a new one by now!

The next two radio receivers arrived today for the other two battery locos, so there is still work to be done on the 16mmNG set-up. Where can I hide the receiver on the Wickham's Trolley? Probably under the roof if that does not mess up reception for the aerial. A blu-tack or masking tape fit to set off with.
