DMU's in Devon & Cornwall in the 1990's

I lived in and around Plymouth from 1993-2003 and was trying to recall what DMU's were seen in Devon and Cornwall during this time.

Sadly I lost my 35mm pictures I took during this period and I'm relying on my memory. I used to visit Laira quite a bit in the earlier times of this period and think I can remember Class 101's in Regional Railways parked up there with possibly Class 122's?  When were these taken out of service.

Other than that I spent a lot of time photographing around Par and Lostwithiel in the days of the Class 37's. My one overriding memory is of a Class 158 that was in Regional Railways livery appearing with 'Alphaline' on the sides at Par.

Can anyone remember when Class 153's started to appear in the region along with Class 150/2's in Regional Railways colours?

I think I'm right in saying Wessex Trains ran the local services from 2001 and the Class 150's/153's started to appear in their distinctive local liveries.

Thanks in advance.

Mark

According to my 1993 NREA/ICTS book there were 150s and 153s allocated to Laira but according to my records the 122s were still on the branches in June when I went past, a year later I have no record of 122s just 150s 153s and 158s.

Thanks

Chris H

Thanks Chris,

That confirms what I thought.
