cheesysmith
These were being used on the Tinsley aggregates. Does anybody know what wagons these are, as with the painted out section on the body they look like reused wagons.
34theletterbetweenB&D
Those are hoppers. Perm some three letter combo of A, G, H, J, L, Q, and that'll be right. Hat, coat, door.

RMweb Premium Steadfast Posted July 29, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 29, 2015 I don't know why but all the Bardon fleets have had the logos painted out, despite still being in use on their flows. The only change has been Freightliner to GB haulage jo

The only change has been Freightliner to GB haulage jo I wonder if GBRf have taken over ownership of the fleet as part of the contract? I know there are some other hoppers that have been repainted in GBRf blue, and at least one carries GBRf branding.
RMweb Premium Steadfast Posted July 29, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 29, 2015 Yeah that's a good point, didn't think of that Brian. As you say the ex FLHH JGAs are now largely blue and they also taken the lease on the ex FLHH MJA boxes, some of which are now blue jo
40044
They're still owned by AI, and still carry small Aggregate Industries lettering & logo lower down on the RHS of the wagon.
black and decker boy
Aggregates Industries are part of the Swiss giant, Holcim. In the last week or so, Holcim has merged with Lafarge (the French giant). In the UK, this will see pretty much all of the Lafarge and Tarmac assets transfer to a new company owned by CRH (an Irish giant), to operate here as Tarmac, A CRH Company and with the old Blue Circle logo. It is possible that the mega merger of Holcim and Lafarge will see all of their businesses rebranded so are these wagons merely being prepared for a new global brand logo or is it just a continuation of the 2013 AI plan to consolidate all of the businesses under the AI brand and ditch the Bardon brand?
