Down_Under
Hi All, Quick question (s) regarding material thicknesses for etching locomotive chassis and body parts. It appears that in Australia I cannot get hold of 15thou (0.4mm) thick brass, which the vast majority of the kits I have from Biritsh sources are etched in. The closest I can get is 12thou (0.3mm). Still suitable? (For chassis work) What about if a change in material to NS? Would this be stiffer? (I might (used very loosely) be able to get some 15tou/0.4mm NS, but obviously at extra cost). I'm at the stage of drawing, so need to start taking into account material thicknesses for half etch lines, holes etc... Thanks in advance. Spitfire2865
For a chassis, Id defiantly go thicker, and definitely NS if budget allows.
