JRAS
Every so often we hold an open day - nothing fancy, just club and members' layouts - some complete and others work in progress. This year it will take place on 15 August 2015 with the doors opening at 10 o'clock at the Scout Hall, Braishfield Road, Romsey SO51 0PB. Entrance is free, although there will be a charity bucket collection for those would like to donate the odd coin.Besides there being a small free car park at the hall (please do not park in the cemetery next door), for those who prefer to use public transport there are convenient bus services that depart from Romsey bus station, some of which also call at Romsey railway station. The exact line-up has yet to be confirmed, however there will be several 4mm and 2mm layouts present - see our website for the latest information. Besides chatting to the members, discovering what we do and picking our brains; do feel free to bring any locomotives along that you would like to see running - you may even be able to have a go on some of the layouts at their owners' discretion. JRAS
Just a few hours to go now - I've been burning the midnight oil looking out stock and printing temporary name badges for new club members. I'll be running Melcombe Abbas where I'm looking forward to giving my E4 and Black Motor their first outings. Feel free to stop by for a chat and try your hand at operating if you like.
