andyman7
A holiday in Wales this year has seen me start yet another project, a mini 009 layout....amongst the things I have acquired for it is a Five79 RC25 freelance Hunslet diesel kit. The instructions suggest a Farish motor bogie or similar, but I am hoping someone on RMWeb can perhaps be a bit more specific, as I'm not sure which Farish diesels have suitable self-contained motor bogies as opposed to centrally mounted mechanisms driving through cardan shafts (which are obviously not going to work....) Any suggestions gratefully received - I've tried emailing with no luck and the Facebook page doesn't look to have been updated since 2013
RMweb Premium Moxy Posted August 20, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 20, 2015 Modern Farish diesels don't have a mechanism that will fit, the kit was designed many years ago to fit the original Poole built Farish motor bogie, which has long been out of production. Not having that particular kit, I couldn't recommend a replacement chassis, but if you ask the question on NGRM Online http://www.ngrm-online.com someone there will probably have the answer. You will have to register to see the content, but that's probably the best place to ask. HTH Moxy
