roythebus
There's a good set of photos on the IWSR website of Ivatt tank 41293 back in service for the first time yesterday 22/9/15. Sorry I don't have a link, I got the pics via Facebook.
RMweb Premium Chris116 Posted September 23, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 23, 2015 I was told on Saturday while on the UK Railtours "Ticket to Ryde" trip that the IoWSR intended to do some test runs yesterday and that if successful it would haul the passenger service today. It will then be put away until next spring for its official welcome back to steam. Sounds as if it went well yesterday so well done to all those who have worked on her and I look forward to riding behind her next summer.
t8hants
The Ivatt was out in the sun today, and I was lucky enough to scrounge a round trip. Apparently according to her fireman she is much like a terrier to fire, a little and often, but that is why she was out, Driver and Staff training.Sadly unless you want to indulge in a private charter, shes to be put to bed until the Spring. Guest 47107
Should the loco number in the topic title be 41298 and not 41293 ? Nice to see it back in service.
