pinza55007
I am in the process of going through some old photos of the Sunday Lunch trains of the 80s from London, which is Ok for steam as the basics they are listed in the Steam Returns to London Book. I am trying to work out : - 1. Which dates were Steam hauled throughout both ways 2. Which dates and what Diesels were used at Stratford to release/shunt stock and assist by pushing out (if required) Then later the services were changed to Steam from London to Banbury and from Stratford, Diesel Banbury to Stratford, so again 3. Which dates were Steam hauled London-Banbury/SONA-London 4. What was the Diesel used Banbury to Stratford. Also those to/from York/Sheffield via Stratford If anyone were on these services and can assist by providing this information, or have logs/photos what was used, then please can you contact me here or email pinza55007@btinternet.com

RMweb Gold TheSignalEngineer Posted October 12, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 12, 2015 Have you tried the Six Bells Junction site? http://www.sixbellsjunction.co.uk/ Regarding a Class 25, I never saw one on these myself but have a shot somewhere of an ETHEL behind a steam loco at Acock's Green
pinza55007
Thanks for reply, I know Six Bells, but there are numerous of these Sunday Tours not listed, and those that are are quite vague. There is a photo by Peter Tandy of the 25 at Stratford although I am not certain the date is correct as I have it down as 47456 on that date, hence why I am after second opinions.. http://petertandy.co.uk/25042_sle_sona.jpg Ethels were used from late 1986 during the colder periods.
