richbrummitt
Can anyone who has a 611, or upgraded 505/511 know for sure whether the updated/upgraded controller has the facility for DC control (and I don't mean loco 0 ) where you can set individual parameters for different locos that the 511 has? TIA Richard.

TIA Richard. Yes you can do this. Page 32 to 36 in the 611 handbook shows you how to do this. First you need to select the DC output:- POINT-INERTIA-1 OR 2 - ENTER R Where 1 is for pure DC and 2 is for PWM DC You can then set up each loco for different parameters. There are 2 groups of parameters each group has 4 parameters that you can set for each loco. Group 1:- 1. Start voltage. 2. Loco Max output voltage(max speed) 3. Inertia 4. Profile(to bend the speed curve of the regulator. Group 2 :- 1. Kick Start 2. PWM Frequency (only in PWM mode) 3. Speed scale (to set MPH or Kph max speed displayed) 4. Control mode ( to determine if inertia of profile is used) Up to 50 different loco set ups can be stored. There is a lot more information in the handbook which does go into how to set it all up and alter each parameter. Cheers Ian
