Taigatrommel
Hi all, I'm putting transfers into the windows of some of my modified stock, and I find myself with a couple of queries on the topic. Firstly, would the corridor side windows by non-smoking compartments bear "No Smoking" stickers? Secondly, was a mix of sticker eras within a vehicle be common? Eg triangular and round non smoking stickers, square and "double sausage" first class stickers. Thanks in advance, Rich
Vin
Hi Rich, What era are you meaning? The 'no smoking' triangles did last into the 1980's before being changed to the circular ones. As for the first class stickers the saugage lasted into the 1990's before being replaced by the square 1980's version. Hope this helps. Taigatrommel
Hi Vin, Yes, that helps! Do you know when the the first appearance of each sticker style came out? I'm modelling 1986-1988.
Vin
Hi, That was a transition period as sectorisation was in and the old guard was out. Coaching stock was the last to get new logos. Especially if it was secondary stock which was going to be phased out by the sprinter revolution. Regards Vin
