Found a fix for Mainline 4MT slipping split axels

Hi all,

Well after many years I have found a method of fixing the problem with any Mainline engine that uses split axels that is easy to do. I had 4 of the 4MT engines that had gone wrong and had begun to replace the chassis with Bachmann when i found this glue at Warley NEC exhibition this year. Hafixs professional glue. www.hafixs.co.uk/products/profglue . I have used it on 2 of my engines and they now work perfectly. The thing about this glue over other forms of superglue is that if it is kept cool it takes about 2 minutes to start going off unlike normal superglue. Plus the amount needed is very tiny to make a strong bond. That is more than enough time to get the quartering of the wheels right. Also once set I have found that nothing seems to be able to break the bond. I still have a J72 to try it one, but have not got round to that yet.

I hope this helps
