RSS Fetcher Posted December 28, 2015 Share Posted December 28, 2015 Couldn't resist taking a few piccies of the up yard on Cheddar. I've built a big more track for this and and you can see made a mock up of the goods shed to check clearances into the down yard. I think I'll shorten the shed by 50mm or so as this is one of the areas where I put a bit of compression into the track plan. Still need to lay the track through the shed itself but need to check if this was inset or chaired first.
The up yard sidings rose in level to that of the platform surfaces from what I can deduce but I think that'll be a recipe for trouble at exhibitions so I'm going to keep it at one level. I've put the turnout for the Bryants siding in, but there's only enough space for a single wagon. Still it means I can have a wagon bring loaded as per the book I mentioned in the last blog (it would be so much easier to just insert a photo here - curse copyright!). I've also put a template down for the signal box footprint. Thankfully it all seems to fit.
I'm quite happy with this board now as its starting to get a sense of space here I think.
Soon be time to get onto the next board.

Attached thumbnail(s)

<a class='resized_img' rel='lightbox[17216]' id='ipb-attach-url-659723-0-72354200-1451322603' href="http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/uploads/monthly_12_2015/blogentry-6673-0-79086000-1451322214.jpg"title="image.jpg - Size: 570.03KB, Downloads: 0">

<a class='resized_img' rel='lightbox[17216]' id='ipb-attach-url-659724-0-73416400-1451322603' href="http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/uploads/monthly_12_2015/blogentry-6673-0-04803700-1451322230.jpg"title="image.jpg - Size: 258.68KB, Downloads: 0">

<a class='resized_img' rel='lightbox[17216]' id='ipb-attach-url-659725-0-73426900-1451322603' href="http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/uploads/monthly_12_2015/blogentry-6673-0-21967300-1451322245.jpg"title="image.jpg - Size: 258.8KB, Downloads: 0">

View the full article Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
