As it stands,there is only one for Dover Priory, next Tuesday. But,from Monday, the rest are for Folkestone East. There is enough stone on site but little storage capacity. 3 days ago,an area was cleared,on the cliff side, just down from the 10 chain curve. Today there was a stone track crossing made for vehicles,to that cleared area,photos later. Either,they are going to reballast from Shakey to Folkestone East or it's an alternative storage area. The video linked above appears to show new transverse support beams in that area on the Dover side of the rafts. Perhaps the new storage areas are going to be further east to enable the work to take place after some of the existing rails are lifted. No doubt it will all become clear in due course. Could be that Folkestone East is purely a convenient TOPS/TRUST reporting point. If the possession for the work is Dover Priory - Folkestone East, then the train would show to either, depending on the route to site. Possibly the previous workings to site have shown as terminating at Dover Priory. Sadly the multitude of TOPS stannox we used to have in the Dover WD complex are long gone. jukebox Posted July 22, 2016 Share Posted July 22, 2016 Amazed that in photo P1480524 they appear to be manually inserting concrete sleepers under the rails, rather than unclipping, and spreading the rails to resleeper...
