RMweb Gold The Stationmaster Posted January 22, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 22, 2016 There seems to be no trace of any sort of GWR livery proposal for the Swiss built loco. The only illustration in a GWR publication was in the GWR's Last Look Forward and was in grey scale with no hint of any sort of lining or emblems. The livery it actually carried was decreed in mid 1948 by Robin Riddles and does not appear to have come as an alteration to any earlier proposal. A possible sense of what it might have looked like could perhaps be gained from the way it was painted when Swindon eventually put it into green livery and no doubt decided what style of lining it would use.
