Sandy Harper
What type of windows are you referring to? Coach, loco, building. Georgian, sash, modern double glazed, round topped factory. A tad more detail of what you are trying to achieve, in what scale and in what material would be helpful? Regards Sandy
dasatcopthorne
I used to cut and then file up windows from 1mm thick Perspex. Dave
mvrattler
Search the RMweb forum or the 0 Gauge Guild forum searching for Silhouette Cameo cutter. The possibilities for the railway modeller are endless. Kerry

Sandy Harper
I think I can help here. John Percival of Walsworth Models has recently shown me N/S etchings that he has had produced of sash window frames. He might be worth a call and he is not expensive. Tel 01952 510198. Mornings are best for him. REgards
BG John
As the Silhouette cutter and sash windows have been mentioned, here are my first efforts on my Silhouette Portrait. They're in 7mm scale, but should work in 4mm too. I'd like to add a bit more detail next time I make some, but am quite pleased with my first attempt. Feoffee2
Hi Thanks for all the replies, where is the best place to get the cutters. Thanks
BG John
Probably Yolo, which is where I got mine, as they seem to specialise in them. They often have short term discounts so it can be worth keeping an eye out for them. Watch out for the prices on their web site though, as they exclude VAT. Here's 50 pages of light reading to help get you started http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/79025-a-guide-to-using-the-silhouette-cameo-cutter/. It covers the Cameo, Portrait and to a lesser extent the new Curio.
