RMweb Gold Adam1701D Posted March 2, 2010 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 2, 2010 I've been approached to produce a set of overlays for the Northern Belle in N but, thus far, have not been able to find out much ionformation regarding formations, etc. I know there is at least one Mark 1 catering coach and a Mark 3 sleeper amongst the mark 2 FOs. If anyone would be able to supply any details of formations and vehicles used, I'd be most greatful. In the meantime, back to Google and Fotopic! My office used to be in City House so I regularly saw it at Leeds City Station. Most of the time I only saw it from above but the last time I noted the formation was on 18/5/07. It was 10734 (ex 2914) SLE 2xFO 1566 RKB 2xFO 1953 (RBR ex RU) seating removed 2xFO 92904 BG (assumed given the livery) The BG and SLE were occasionally on the same end but normally seemed to be opposite ends

The BSO is not only the trains brake vehicle but is also used as a staff mess vehicle & has the windows blanked out. The Mk1 BG only usuall makes an apperance if it's doing a tour where the punters are staying over night in a hotel as it's for the luggage. The BG normally goes at the oposite end from the BSO mess coach & SLE. Some times the Bell has 2 Mk3 SLE's on. Also the Bell now has a Mk1 BG painted in matching livery rather that the green one which has been seen in last vew years.

Adam I have photos of all the regular coaches in the Belle, both sides, except the sleeper if these would be of use to you. Merfyn
