RMweb Gold pheaton Posted April 11, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 11, 2016 Hi Ken,Yes many times....would reccomend re-programming via a decoder tester if you can, the slightest hint of dirt on the wheels interrupts the programming.

Interesting, don't have a decoder tester, only the Lokprog, so will ensure wheels/track are clean first. Thanks for the info.............

TIA Ken HI, I have used this service a number of times, it saves on time, postage charges and also avoids potential postal damage, I have used the following:- http://www.wheeltappersdccsounds.co.uk/page41/index.html for steam sounds that I wanted for a specific loco and have been very happy with the service, they get back to you quickly and have given good advice. Yours, Dave.
SRman
I also have used Bif's services with the files locked to the specific decoder serial number. He has been extremely helpful at all times, but particularly when trying to get the files to fit on earlier LokSound v3.5 decoders. Particularly for those of us living overseas from the U.K., being able to do this saves on so many counts (damage or loss in post, insurance, and sheer time involved).I use my LokProgrammer connected to a multi-pole switch on my programming track, with the locomotive sitting on a rolling road, so dirty track doesn't factor into it (although I do ensure clean wheels too).
