VDA Wagon Lettering

Recommended Posts

Hi All

I'm building a 7mm VDA wagon in Bauxite, and need information on what all the lettering says on the side of wagon and underframe. To help me place the correct transfers in the correct place. I used to have some very  detailed pic's but lost them when my computer got a virus, and non of the pictures on web have enough definition to make out what it all says.

thanks

J.P.

When I built mine i had a similar problem so used a Bachmann one as reference, used Appleby Mode Engineering transfers and they had everything on that the Bachmann one did, not saying it's 100% correct but looks the part to me.

Is it the PRMRP kit your doing?.

I'm not sure, but I believe Paul Bartlett's site offers the possibility of buying large prints of the slides on his site. The site advises that those images with a reference ending in 'M' are low quality scans.

Already have the P Bartlett pic for the wagon I am building, but the resolution is still not quite high enough to see.

Hi Rob

Yes it's the PRMRP kit, fully sprung in S7, here's the last one I did http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/57784-prmrp-vda-van-kit/ .

Also using Appleby transfers, they are superb.

Tell me which one it is and I'll rescan at high resolution and send to you (if you let me have email address). A lot of my collection was scanned for Fotopic before broadband was thought of let along something available to domestic users!
