RMweb Gold roundhouse Posted April 21, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 21, 2016 I really enjoyed his music. When Doves Fly Little Red Corvette we used to change to Chevet as that was a school friends first car!

RMweb Gold Re6/6 Posted April 21, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 21, 2016 Oh dear, we loose another one. A great guitarist and musician with a great feel to his music. Only sad that I never got to see him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F8BMm6Jn6oU
RMweb Gold colin penfold Posted April 21, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 21, 2016 A family member unnamed has confirmed it according to CNN, and the authorities have confirmed they are investigating a death at his home but won't confirm the identity. One of my favourite tracks .."I feel for you" by Chaka kahn was written by prince.

RMweb Premium Ian J. Posted April 21, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 21, 2016 This appears to be the 'anno mortem'. R.I.P. Prince. I recognize the talent, even if it wasn't my musical thing.
Baby Deltic
I never liked his music, but very sad indeed. It was also reported today that Paul Teutal Snr of American Chopper has died, but apparently it was a hoax.
RMweb Gold Downendian Posted April 21, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 21, 2016 Not my cup of tea either, but whenever something of his comes on the radio I'm propelled back to the early 80s when I lived in the US for a couple of years. He seemed to be on the radio all the time, memories of the long drives to the beautiful Eastern North Carolina coast on the weekend. Neil
RMweb Gold beast66606 Posted April 21, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 21, 2016 Raspberry Beret is one of my favourties. RIP Prince
jonny777
For an all time Prince musical blowout, listen to Three Chains O' Gold. And turn the volume up to 11. It is probably one of the most pretentious and self indulgent pieces of music ever recorded, and for that reason alone it is brilliant.
Allegheny1600
Maybe he isn't dead, just the victim of a hoax? http://en.mediamass.net/people/prince/deathhoax.html Let's hope so. John. My sincere apologies, it is now widely reported that he has in fact, actually died. I do hope I didn't cause any offence with my earlier post, I was going off what my wife had been reading and my own separate search yielded apparent confirmation. Sadly, it wasn't the case that it was a hoax, sorry. Sadly the world has lost yet another huge talent, R.i.P. Prince, we'll miss you. John.
bike2steam
Another legend has left the stage, a multi-talented entertainer who covered many musical genres, and excellent guitarist who backed many big names, singer, songwriter, musical producer, film actor, film producer, and only a few have outsold his recordings. jukebox
An extremely talented songwriter, and musician. Am so glad I was able to take my 16 year old son to see him a few months ago here in Perth. That was just the man, and a piano. But he could also make a guitar cry and wail, too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6SFNW5F8K9Y Perhaps not everyone's cup of Tetleys, but without doubt, his passing is a great loss to music. bike2steam
Thanks for that 'jukebox', I should've added that clip, for me Prince had reached his pinnacle at the George Harrison Memorial Concert, it surprised many that didn't know his capabilities. RMweb Premium polybear Posted April 22, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 22, 2016 I reckon the docs at the hospital he attended a few days ago are pooin' their pants, if it turns out they discharged him. (Assuming of course that the P.M. finds his death linked to that earlier episode)
