7mm and 4mm scenic bits and pieces by Giles

I can now offer for sale some of the little items I've been making - they tend to be small, low volume and low value items, so it's a paying hobby, that will hopefully give people access to a few bits and pieces that they might otherwise not get. So.......

I will obviously add bits and prices as and when, and I will always endeavour to keep a few packets in stock, ready to go.

You can either PM me, or email me (email's on the website)

At Di's instigation, who said I should try, when I said it wouldn't be possible, I finally succeeded in reliably producing drain grills in 4mm scale. Again, they're in acrylic, so they're robust - but they are quite small.....

I sprayed this grey in order to take a photo. If added these to my little web-site if anyone wants any - and I shall try and put things ( that are possible) out in both scales - or any other scales if there is a demand.

I will shortly be able to offer laser cut fire escapes in both 7mm and 4mm in Trotec (Rowmark equivalent), having made a little breakthrough in the lasering of the square holes......

Prices will depend on how many storeys and landings are required

I thought I'd make up a section of 4mm Fire Escape.

Two flights takes more than 1 1/2 hours of laser and computer time -regardless of scale. Therefore these can never be cheap. As a guide, the double flight, as on Denton Brook would be £38.

This 4mm model is done in 0.5mm Trotec, with each hand rail cut in one piece, together with all its uprights. Because of the material, it is very flexible, and next best thing to unbreakable (under normal handling!). The treads slot-and-tab into the stringers, but you do need good eye-sight (rather better than mine.....)

I can now get smaller - 1.05mm AF, to fit 0.5mm wire or rod. This is as small as I can go, and I dare say no-one would want these anyway (they're very small!)

Same as before, if anyone wants them - £3.80 per hundred, but your eye-sight will need to be good!

Standard size 1.5mm (0.8mm bore) on the left, Small 1.05mm (0.5mm bore) on the right.

0.8mm, and the 'remaining' thickness is about 0.3, so you've got flat section......

I initially got my quantities wrong on my site, and the packs are 60 small brackets or 30 large.

I can now provide down-pipe brackets to complement the gutter brackets. These can be used singly to represent the more modern slim pattern, or used in pairs to represent the wider cast version (as photo below). The small type (below) fit 2.38mm rod or tube, and the larger size fit 3.2mm rod or tube
