RMweb Gold Captain Kernow Posted May 18, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 18, 2016 Out of what is currently only a notional/theoretical interest, which manufacturers could be recommended for the supply of kits for railway buildings that might be suitable for a German narrow gauge model, please, in particular the Harz Mountains area? Many thanks.
RMweb Gold PaulRhB Posted May 18, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 18, 2016 Kibri, Faller, Artitec, Vollmer, Pola, Busch, Auhagen are good places to start. Some kits are quite old but can still be worked into nice buildings. A good site to browse for pics http://www.modellbahnshop-lippe.com/gruppenliste/Stations/46-4-0-0-004013-0-0-0-0-0-0-grp-gb-p-0/gruppenliste.html I just googled images of the various towns in the Harz and looked for buildings in that style. There is actually a fairly broad range of styles across the Harz system.
bgman
I've also had a search Tim and I'm can't find anything specific either I'm afraid. One company I use for various European kits is http://www.goldenvalleyhobbies.com/ who have a very comprehensive stock. If I find anything else I will let you know. G I've also used this company too http://www.mbz-modellbahnzubehoer.de/produkte/index.htm

RMweb Gold PaulRhB Posted May 19, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 19, 2016 Artitec isn't really deep into German modelling (yet?),Some very useful bits for detailing though.

I only discovered them after I'd bought most of the kits for Braunlage but I stocked up on a fair few detailing bits and the platform edges from Auhagen ready for the next section.
