philsandy
I have 2 LMS period 1 57' coaches, a composite and brake 3rd. Can anyone give any details of the range of BR running numbers for these?
balders
If it's the Replica P1 one you have (four 3rd class, three 1st) the composite is numbered M3541M. The number range was 3505-3705 built 1924-28 to diagram 1694.....there were three other diagrams, one with 1/2 size 1st comps, one with four firsts and three thirds (all door coaches) and a diagram of two-window coaches...... assuming it's corridor stock, not open or non-gangwayed you have. The brake thirds were built to three different diagrams dependent on whether they were the LNWR style coach conversions from kitchen cars (5200-01, 5216-5221), four compartment (5202-5215) or five compartment brakes (5222-5346) Don't know whether this helps you? Info from Essery and Jenkinson original volume I've handily got sitting on a shelf next to the computer. Regards Guy

balders
No probs mate. There were post-war shenanigans with conversions to full brakes in some diagrams, and some never came back from overseas postings for obvious reasons.........I can't provide those specifics though!
