torqueofthedevil
Evening all, As per the above, which are the best shops to find a range of new and used Continental N Gauge? Judging by the websites, Osborns seem pretty good, but I haven't been yet as it's a looong way from home (in Shropshire). Hereford Model Centre was surprisingly good when I visited recently, Rails of Sheffield would presumably be worth the trip over the Pennines, but please give me the benefit of your collective knowledge and pass on any good gen! Thanks in advance!

torqueofthedevil
Thanks for both replies - good gen! Until now my preference has been for a shop because I enjoy browsing and seeing what gems are hiding in the second-hand cabinet (some of which don't feature on the website), as well as being able to ask advice from the staff, but perhaps it's inevitable that I will need to make more use of mail order etc. As it happens I bought a loco from a shop in Budapest recently - best price I could find anywhere, and great service too! Stevelewis
Have a look at ARCADIA RAIL Shaw Oldham, Tim has extensive ranges UK & Overseas, I have dealt with him for many years, but never actually visited the shop I do it all mail order , orders always arrive next day, Ironicaly one of my sons works for an Oldham based company, but only once have I managed to arrange for him to collect an order for me as he spends most of his time in China or India, I am not sure what N ranges Tim stocks, it is best to telephone rather than email he is a one man shop, Closed all day Tuesday and some school holidays, ( tell him Steve mentioned him!!)
