RMweb Premium John Isherwood Posted June 17, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 17, 2016 How did R6776 manage to be produced as ??? All of BR Diagram 1/069 were vacuum-fitted, to the best of my knowledge. Regards, John Isherwood.
jjnewitt
I'd say that the fact it doesn't have a vacuum cylinder is the least of it's problems. Plenty of other issues with it. Justin
217 RIVER FLESK
I did wonder when I saw the grey 'unfitted' body colour & the XP rating. Oh well, there's a good excuse not to buy it & a few more pounds to put towards something else . . .
RMweb Gold Brinkly Posted June 17, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 17, 2016 A Parkside kit is a much better option! ;-) Kind regards, Nick.
34theletterbetweenB&D
If I was an English girl, employed to produce models of Chinese railway rolling stock, I expect that when the information from management was lacking a quick group consulation of 'Shaz' or 'Trace' or whoever was the employee of longest standing would deliver a quick decision: 'They usually do it in that grey'. Bingo. Should anyone think this exagerrated, at an early stage in my career I was plunged into management of a work team employed on printed circuit board population. The programme engineer may have imagined he had the design authority for the product, but in practise it was a lady by name of 'Sness' who had been there since age 14 in 1941, and merrily used what was available when the specified component wasn't in supply. "There was a war on my love, they had to have the thing, perfect or not." Really.
