MK1 Pullmans

Recommended Posts

I have been building up a rake of MK1 Pullmans from the Graham Farish models, but I have noticed the latest batch have Black pipework, the previous releases all have white pipework, which is correct for the real thing?

For the sake of comparison, 2 of the older models Opal and Hawk.

and the two new ones, Robin and Pearl.

I have looked in the Mark 1 coaches book by Keith Parkin MA and can't see any definitive answers, can anyone set the record straight?

On photos I have seen Dan, the pipes should be the colour of the roof when the piping transfers to from the ends to the roof.
I have seen on a PDF doc of one where they were black all the way... maybe depends on the preservation era.
