sir douglas
hi, i was going to put this in the exhibition section but since i am not posting the exhibition info but asking for it i thought it would be better to ask here i cant find the layout and trader list anywhere for Telford 3th & 4th September. It was only after the Doncaster show back in June that i saw a traders list for and thought i really would have like to talk to some people if id known they were there, but then again i decided not to take a shw guide at the door so its my own fault. so if i know whos there before hand and its somebody id like to meet in person and talk to them, i might be going to Telford with Jamie and lancaster green ayre
Mike
Just go to http://www.gauge0guild.com/forum/default.asp Shows scroll down to Guildex Guide and open the PDF.
edcayton
note it is gauge 0 guild, not gauge O guild. Ed
Simond
Which is confusing because in the latest rag, the editorial standard is a capital O, not a zero. I suspect that is something that should be clearly resolved at the G0G committee, so I will raise on that forum too. Best Simon
Hesperus
It shouldn't be that hard to set up an extra web and email address with an O then link it across. It isn't the most high tech of communities though.
RMweb Premium ELTEL Posted August 8, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 8, 2016 Just go to http://www.gauge0guild.com/forum/default.asp Shows scroll down to Guildex Guide and open the PDF. The link is not a lot of use if you are not a member. Come on Gauge 0 Guild As I understand the Telford Exhibition is not purely for members and is open to non members. So let's have in the public domain the exhibition details. Terry

daifly
The correct link would have avoided all of this opprobrium. http://www.gauge0guild.com/Guildex_Telford_Guide_2016.pdf
EKR
Step away from the keyboard Simon! I intend to spell it as I pronounce it. Also I was taught to call it nought not zero ..... Not that it will stop the rivet counters on the forum having a field day

peter220950
It shouldn't be that hard to set up an extra web and email address with an O then link it across. It isn't the most high tech of communities though. They are high tech enough to know you have to own the relevant domain names etc. first, - and they don't, they have been trying to buy them for a long time. So it is quite hard to do as you suggest. Simond
Well I did raise it on the Guild web forum, apparently there is someone who owns something and won't sell. But the web address does contain a zero... I'm more confused than I was! Anyway, the link to the trader list works. Best Simon

Best Simon Simon The comment on the Guild forum about the Guild not owning the alternative web domain is simply not true. I invite you, or anyone else who is interested to visit the Guild website by clicking on GaugeOguild.com or Gauge0guild.com - both will take you (via a redirection in the case of the former) to the same place! Simond
Dave As I said, I'm quite confused by it all. The guild clearly owns the "0" domain, I have no idea what the back story is, but Raymond Walley, who as company secretary should be in a position to know, says "We must not therefore use Zero in our name at any time.", in his recent post. I do a agree with Jim S in his assertion that it "should" be a zero, but more importantly, I think it should simply be consistent. Best Simon
Hesperus
Sorry for my inaccurate reply earlier, I had been reading the notes in the Gazette about being careful to use a zero in e-mail addresses. While it is positive news that the guild own both domains it does beg the question why they can't make duplicate e-mail addresses with an 'o' in that redirect to the correct '0' address. I accept that it is correct to use a '0' as the scale is a number but as far as I am aware it is pronounced 'Oh Gauge' rather than nought or zero gauge so confusion is inevitable. HSB
I think most people say 'oh' for nought when giving their telephone numbers so I can't see that this is any different!
RMweb Gold Ruston Posted August 10, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 10, 2016 I notice ABS Models isn't on the list of traders and he usually does this show. As I understood it he had been into hospital for a major op. in the early part of the year, so I assume he's recuperating. Peter
daifly
He was due to appear at the show but, as reported on the Guild Forum 3 weeks ago, he withdrew from Guildex due to ill health. He continues to trade by mail order but cannot currently attend shows. Dave
