NuCast/Cotswold L&Y locomotives

Good morning all

 

I am having a rush of interest in the Lancashire & Yorkshire railway, as they had lines in the West Riding, which is the area that interests me.

 

I have built or building a few L&Y locos. 

 

I looked in my notes to see what has produced over the years and found a note saying that NuCast made a 0-6-2T, presumably it was one of the Cotswold/Sutherland kits acquired by NuCast.

 

I cannot recall ever seeing this loco, but have written NC 215 against this loco with a question mark.

 

Does anyone have any more information?

I have an old W&H catalogue. Its listed as such. Not much other than that, except body & chassis only.

The rights to NuCast are now jointly held by South Eastern Finecast (01342 824711) & Branchlines (01373 822231), I don't know whether that L&Y kit is one of the ones due for re release, but if you give either one a call I'm sure they would be able to tell you.

 

No connection with either firm, just a satisfied customer.

It was a white metal body and chassis kit. I picked up one at S4um several years ago rom the second hand stand. A mate now has it, still unbuilt. It will need a new replacement chassis when he gets round to building it though.
