There will be some special traders offers such as discounts on multi DVD buys from Heritage in Motion and a real show MUST HAVE or maybe not -  a 00 sized Michael Portillo complete with bright coloured trousers, perfect for any layout UK or continental Europe, Mike pett has promised to bring lots of these on the day and bet he still runs out! so get there early.

Appears to have moved to Bexleyheath.

If you are planning on going, take public transport. Bexleyheath traffic on a weekend in December doesn't bear thinking about. 10 min queue to get in and out of the Asda parking lot is common on a Sunday. Right before Christmas it will be a nightmare.

As an exhibitor I have to go by car. At least I should be arriving there about 8 am. I will be travelling via Watling Street from the Dartford crossing do you have any suggestions as to the best access route? On the A to Z it appears that I can go direct via Broadway or via the A207 Albion Road and cut back at the roundabout.

You are best off using the A2, Black Prince and the A220 to Broadway. Crawling through Dartford & Crayford on the A207 is painful.

Hmmm, less than a 10 min walk. Will have to check this out. Got space for a 20' by 2' 6" HO Canadian Freemo/layout? :sungum:

tempting but  don't have any space that large left.   First to call if we have 2 layouts drop out

Glad to see a 009 layout is attending, not seen Numark before.  I know the question was sort of answered above, but I am Crayford based and my son goes to Bexleyheath Academy and have a 3ft x 4ft  narrow gauge fully scenic layout and hope to exhibit it for first time, if a layout does cancel and you only have a small space to replace, happy to attend with it.  Dorset village scene called Buckton.

Just updated the first post on here with the exhibitors and traders attending, two extra traders to add, who just have to confirm their booking.    We now also have Southwark Model Railway club bringing part of Crystal Palace High as a modelling demo, and they will be building part of the main structure over the course of the day, while you watch and ask questions.   The section will have a working turntable and work will be done on the roof glazing of this amazing exhibition model.

Also put a call out to anyone who wants to try and exhibit for the first time and we have PEPPERMILL  by Rhod Holloway, who will be bringing this stunning American layout for the first exhibition he has ever done, and hopefully get him on the exhibition circuit.

Also here is one for any 009 fans, RHEILFFORDGULNESAFIRHABWRYNYPENTREFGYDARENWHIRAFARMODELARDDANGOSFA (Narrow railway next to harbour in village with longest name for a exhibition model) will be handing over the operating of the layout, some sidings and shuttle work plus a loop to anyone who wants to come and bring their 009 loco and running stock for 30 min sessions, means we get to see lots of movement and types on the layout.  Also if you want to have your stock running on the layout, you of course get free entry as you will be classed as a exhibitor.   If interested, leave us a message on here and what stock you would like to bring and roughly what time to intend to arrive.   You must confirm before the day so we can get your armband  for the free tea and coffee etc in the exhibitors area.

Remember also Mike Pett will be carrying extra supplies of the 00 gauge Michael Portillo figure in a range of coloured trousers, a must of any layout!   The offical opening time is 10am, however pre ticket holders get access from 9.45am, not expecting them all to arrive at once but 92 tickets already pre sold and only just stared to put the banners & posters up and leaflets through letter boxes around Bexleyheath and Welling.  We had two big halls and one smaller room but now redesigned the exhibition with the two big halls only and created a better show goer experience by increasing the gangways by 2ft to from 8ft to 10ft between facing layouts, so better flow and less crowding around exhibits.

Remember also The 00 gauge Assc will have a running test track, so any locos bought at the exhibition (I think they will allow HO) can be tested.   Also you can join them on the day and get all the benefits of their members.

At the exhibition today, a nice lady from Wales, who had never operated a layout before kindly stood next to the layout  and told people how to say  RHEILFFORDGULNESAFIRHABWRYNYPENTREFGYDARENWHIRAFARMODELARDDANGOSF

and she even ended up being left alone operating it and had a great time, think we have another convert to the hobby!
