millerhillboy
A friend of the family has given me a box of model railway stuff to see basically.... Most of it appears to be Marklin Z gauge stuff, something of which I know very little. Everything is in immaculate condition, never ran, in original box etc and one of two similar Ebay auctions I have watched have realised really quite interesting prices. So my question is what is the best way to sell Z gauge stuff, is it just a case of Ebay and take your chances, which to be honest judging by those one or two auctions looks like it might be quite lucrative but who knows. Anyone offer any advice or thoughts even.... regards CJ
Allegheny1600
Hi CJ, If i were you, i'd catalogue what items there are firstly. Then i'd try and get a copy of "Continental Modeller" and see what Märklin Z items are listed there (& how much!). Then run a search on ebay on "Completed items" just to check whether any of the items i have, have sold for good money or better than new price, even! Next do the same check on ebay.de - German ebay, all the buttons are in the same location as UK ebay! Having completed my research, then i decide where to sell my items - it may well be that German ebay will help you realise more cash IF you can list your items there! There are always online translation services that can help of course. ALSO, Do a search online to see if there is/are any specialist forums/groups (Yahoo etc) that are specific to Märklin Z - you may get to join them and use their selling facility for free!
