Hi,

With the forum problems now behind us I thought an update might be in order.

Not much progress has been made this year due to building this for my better half

However I am now back on the work bench building and detailing some more goods wagons, which are mainly 5-planks and smaller BR steel opens.

A couple of Bachmann BR 57ft suburbans are nearing completion, these feature complete new underframe detail and flush glazing.

A start has also been made on a GWR / LMS joint loading gauge using the parts from the Ratio kit. Rather than use plastic rod for the stays and supports I decided to use brass wire and will also be adding the ropes and pulleys for raising the end sections of the gauge. The pics.show the gauge on my cutting mat and in it's intended location on the layout. The gauge is not bent it's the camera which has distorted it.........honest !

Last year I started a thread on detailing the Hornby Class 121 and said I would post details on how I went about it. The actual notes form the basis for an EMGS manual sheet which has since been published. Rather than take up space posting it here should anyone like a copy then drop me a PM with your email address and I will mail one to you.
