raymw
Hi, Bit of a longshot, but maybe someone has some ideas... I've been given a dual nozzle ctc printer one of these, afaik http://www.ctcprinter.com/product_detail.php?ProId=16 . However, something very heavy was dropped on it, and much of the plywood frame, and the build plate plastic bracket have been cracked. Although I could repair it, or make new parts, whatever, I'm wondering if anyone has any idea as to where to get parts, or recognize where equivalent parts can be found. (it's a cheapish version of a popular makerbot, afaik). I do not think it is worth my time to spend too much effort in fabricating the replacement frames, etc. unless the bits of ply can not be readily found. It may be almost as quick to make a welded ali or steel frame compared to gluing bits of wood over the cracks, and trying to reassemble it square again, dozens of tiny bolts holding the edges together. . I'm guessing the electronics and the mechanical slides, etc. are OK., but I'm not too bothered about that, as they are more or less readily available standard components. Best wishes, Ray
