RMweb Gold Hroth Posted October 5, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 5, 2016 Isn't MRJ 250 due tomorrow? On the contents page it says "should be on sale".... Or are the subscription holders keeping quiet about its publication?

chrisf
I'm guessing that after last time there will be no point in discussing the contents when it comes out. No-one took a blind bit of notice when I tried. Chris

They usually pay me with Whisky Galore(!)

Chris: We'll try to keep on track this time. Honest!
RMweb Gold Captain Kernow Posted October 5, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 5, 2016 I suspect it's not yet available in Milford Haven, but I haven't got time this week to go up there and check.
RMweb Premium Siberian Snooper Posted October 5, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 5, 2016 I only got hold of the last one last week, mind you I have read it, but I still have to finish the GWJ and then there's the Snooze and the EM Gauge news letter to read, so could we please delay the MRJ 250 'til next week. Porcy Mane
As it happens, I do get visits from Ealing Studio personnel when they are setting up new companies as vehicles for new films. They usually pay me with Whisky Galore(!) Funny. That's how Working Title usually pay me for services rendered. They know I hardly touch a drop so maybe they expect me to go out like a Blue lamp. They always send their payments wrapped with Pink String & Sealing Wax. So will this thread now take on a life of it's own or rely on a Train of Events? Shall We Sing as We Go? No-one took a blind bit of notice when I tried. Chris I think the thread had gone moribund by the time I got a copy. Alas our local WHS seems to have gone downhill where MRJ is concerned plus all the railway and railway modelling mags are now on the bottom shelf which doesn't help one bit when you have to bend or kneel down to find what you're looking for and the passing females get the impression you're some sort of perv as they simply don't understand why grown men are interested in trains and surely must have only one reason for dropping down to floor level. As opposed to them thinking you're some sort of perv because you're looking on the top shelf after the local WHS decided to put the railway mags up there..... Porcy Mane
I'd rather see MRJ on the top shelf for a few reasons. 1) We are all used to the the term, "railway porn". 2) The scenery is far more interesting on the top shelf. (Having said that, I thought Jazz mags had all but disappeared because of the the interweb?) 3) My knees and back are screwed, so I can't get down to the bottom shelf. It's not the getting down that's the problem but the getting back up again! they simply don't understand why grown men are interested in trains and surely must have only one reason for dropping down to floor level. I was about to make a significant and erudite contribution to this thread, but three buses came along at the same time on the railway bridge I was thinking about standing on, and thus I forgot what I was going to say.
