How do I access interior of Heljan O gauge coaches?

Recommended Posts

Billtee, I have not got an Heljan coaches but all their other locos and wagons have usually 4 screws holding the chasis to the body and they put them under the bogies. Hope this may help. Have you looked on the Haljan web site

there may be an instruction sheet?

regards

No screws except those holding on bogies! I rang the shop from where I bought the coaches, and he said the roofs just pry off after unfastening the wire 'water pipes', but I am very reluctant to start levering off the roof of a £250 coach. The brake blocks fall off at the slightest bump, and I've even had window fall into the coach after it had been damaged on the ends by the parcrl delivery company! Heljan coaches are EXTREMELY fragile!!!

Hi billtee,

I just took my roof off and it was remarkably easy following your instructions.  I'd advise a 'soft' tool like a plastic chisel shape or guitar plectrum, but it does come off easily.

Can I ask what make are your coach lighting kits and where did you get them?

Mark.
