Chevetter
Could anyone give me an idea of the approximate years in which shark brake-vans were painted in the various colours that are available from Hornby? What I'm aiming for is something to trail a train of ballast wagons (kitbuilt dogfishes or catfishes, I haven't yet decided) hauled by Bachmann Class 20 in BR green with DCC sound numbered D8158. There are three liveries which may fill the bill, one which I picked up from this forum: Then two others: So which is the most prototypical/could I get away with and in what years were they run? Thanks in advance, Chevetter

Thanks in advance, Chevetter You're looking at the third, black-liveried one, I think. This, and the Gulf Red livery (which isn't pictured) are the ones the Sharks would have carried into the early 1970s, when the olive-green livery started to appear. The yellow and grey livery is much too late for the period you're looking at.
